'Australia's most highly acclaimed tribute to Fawlty Towers'
Created by John Cleese and Connie Booth the British television sitcom Fawlty Towers, broadcast on BBC in the 1970’s spawned tens of millions of fans worldwide as they fell in love with the cast of Fawlty Towers. This show was ranked first on a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programs drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000.
Now venue’s have the opportunity to transform their room into a Fawlty Towers restaurant as their patrons dine and are entertained by Basil, Sybil and the Spanish waiter Manuel.
You will experience the rude and put-upon owner Basil Fawlty, his bossy wife Sybil and the hapless and English-challenged Spanish waiter Manuel, showing their attempts to run the hotel amidst farcical situations and an array of demanding and eccentric guests!
With ‘SOLD OUT’ show after ‘SOLD OUT’ show around the country, The Fawlty Towers Dinner Dance is here to engage you with an interactive dinner service of comic mishaps, mayhem & mischief, Fawlty style of course!

Our show is scripted as well as improvised, and is performed around the tables and amongst the audience whilst they dine. Referencing many of the original show highlights,
our sensational actors involve the audience in a madcap 3 hours of comedy, music and mayhem!

Basil Fawlty.... performed by Matt Barker
• Matthew got hooked on acting at a very young age and performed in many school plays and musicals. After leaving school and trying his hand at real jobs like policeman, youth worker etc, he decided that he wanted to concentrate on the arts and has worked full time as an actor/singer for over 30 years.
• He started acting in TV shows like The Sullivans, Prisoner, Cop Shop, Neighbours etc and then moved on to live theatre and corporate work.
• Matthew was a member of The Phones acapella group in the 80’s and toured the country performing for prime ministers, the queen, and heads of state for 4 years.
• He and his wife Tarina then formed their own professional acapella group 'The Harmoniacs' and created an
act called the Singing Waiters in 1990 that has been wowing audiences around the country and overseas.
• Matthew is an accomplished MC and actor, creating many characters for major events.
In 2015 Matthew produced the Fawlty Towers tribute and then joined forces with Craig Symons from Uptempo Entertainment International and one half of the Baby Boomers Duo to create what is now
'The Fawlty Towers Dinner Dance'.
Sybil Fawlty... performed by Tarina Barker
Tarina started performing in amateur theatre in 1981 and had many leading roles over the next few years......
From 1985 – 1989 Tarina worked as a fashion model, doing catwalk and catalogue work. Tarina has also appeared in a number of
Television commercials and had a role in ‘Prisoner’ for 3 months.
Tarina has been a full-time singer and actor since 1989 and has had lead roles in numerous pantomimes, performing in shopping
centres and theatres across the country.Tarina has been involved in corporate entertainment since 1990 and has re-created many Hollywood
and music personalities with great success including; Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Mae West, Patsy from Ab Fab and Cher to name a few.
Tarina has great comic timing and ad-lib skills and some of her characters like Florrie the cleaning lady and Ruby Cube leave the audience and guests in fits of laughter.
Since 2015 Tarina has played the role of Sybil Fawlty in The Fawlty Towers Dinner Dance and has owned the role.
Manuel... performed by Ross Mathers
Ross has worked in the entertainment business for 30 years as an acrobat, a clown, a character actor, a musician and a prop maker. He has performed internationally and throughout Australia and there is probably not a major event in Melbourne wherehe hasn’t plied his
craft. The following are just a few of the amazing things Ross has done over the years:

Craig Symons (Vocal & Percussion
Craig began singing (‘rock around the clock’) in his highchair at the tender age of two according to his Mum!
Some decades later, Craig is still singing (without the highchair) and is a renowned vocalist, percussionist and frontman with the ability to engage any audience, in any situation,with his wacky sense of humour.
A love of vocal harmonies and music from the the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s has Craig reviving the sounds of these classic hits.
Scott McCarthy (Guitar & Vocals
Scott commenced performing live in the late 1970's with both original and cover bands all over Melbourne and continues to play guitar and sing as “he won't grow up!” After his first purchase of a Beatles album at the age of 12, Scott was hooked on playing and destined to perform ever since.
The humour and the harmonies are always there and constantly reflected in Scott’s performance with the Baby Boomers Duo. Scott leads a double music life and also performs as John Lennon in The Beatlez , one of Australia’s most respected Beatles tribute shows!
